Dr. Lisa Bonin
Dr. Lisa Bonin is originally from Kingwood, Texas, a community right outside of Houston. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2005. Following graduation, she attended vet school at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2009. She practiced at a humane society in Louisiana for about a year and then moved to Chicago where she practiced at a small animal vet clinic for 4 years. She and her husband moved back to Louisiana in 2014 to be closer to a family where she has practiced since then. Dr. Bonin absolutely loves getting to watch her patients grow up from puppies and kittens while helping improve their lives and their health. She will make sure that each of her patients is comfortable through all life stages and is living their best life through preventative care and catching and treating any diseases early on. She has special interests in dermatology, internal medicine, and preventative care, and she will always practice with compassion and honesty. Dr. Bonin is excited to continue her career at HOPE and can’t wait to get to know her new clients and their babies! When she is not working, you can find Dr. Bonin busy at home with her husband, 5 children, 3 cats, and her dog.
